Everyone matters at 121 Financial Credit Union, and we know everyone has the potential be great members of the community and the workforce. That's why we support Pine Castle, a nonprofit institution whose mission is,

“To enrich the lives of adults with developmental and acquired disabilities by providing opportunities to learn, work and lead meaningful lives in the First Coast community.”

Training. Pine Castle offers Training, Education and Support Services (TESS), campus-based vocational and life skills training, paid work opportunities, full care for those with severe levels of disability, Seniors Enrichment, FSCJ “Learning for Living” education and computer skills training, along with many extracurricular and recreational activities, including Special Olympics; Community Employment Services – individual coaching, job development and on-the-job training with routine and on-call follow-up; and Group Home Services? long-term residential care, health care coordination and habilitation training within five community group homes.

Contract Manufacturing, Packaging and Production Services. Pine Castle also offers to the First Coast business community a wide range of contract manufacturing, packaging and production services with pick-up and delivery available. With a campus-based workforce and experienced and contentious staff, Pine Castle’s production operation is a reliable resource for outsourcing tasks on a deadline.

Through Pine Castle’s Community Employment program, First Coast employers are able to enlist the pre-screened and qualified talents of employees plus long-term consultation and support for training and employer satisfaction.

Community Engagement & Site Visits

Pine Castle welcomes individuals and groups to tour the campus to learn about its programs and the services they provide to the community. If your workplace team is looking for an opportunity to engage with a community service agency, they would love to host you for the day. Whether it's assisting participants with arts and crafts projects, or joining in on a friendly game of volleyball, there are plenty of activities that your group can experience and enjoy at Pine Castle.

Join us in the second quarter as we raise money for this worthy non-profit insitution. When you see employees in jeans during this time you’ll know they’ve donated to Pine Castle, or have volunteered to work the 17th Annual Independent Golf Classic in July.

First Quarter Charity – Donna Hicken Foundation

Each year, a volunteer group of employees called The Employee Forum chooses four nonprofit or charitable organizations to support throughout the year, one per quarter.

For 2015, the first quarter charity is the Donna Hicken Foundation.

  • We regularly participate in the Mad City Money event, educating teens and kids about financial decisions and money management in real-world situations.
  • 121 Financial Credit Union recently sponsored the 2015 Rotary Oratory Competition.
  • We hosted a Christmas Party benefitting the families at Hubbard House.
