Bill Cauley

Bill Cauley* has served 121 Financial Credit Union as a volunteer on the Supervisory Committee and on the Board of Directors for over 40 years. He has served as Secretary, Treasurer, Chairman, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Cauley has completed required volunteer courses, reviewed Credit Union policies and has read Credit Union related publications to stay informed on current credit union issues and operations in order to be an effective representative for the Membership of 121 Financial Credit Union.

Related Experience:  Mr. Cauley retired from Bellsouth after 38 years of service working in the Plant department and retiring as a Manager in the Personnel Department.

Educational Background: He has completed 49 semester hours of college level training at Jacksonville University.

Eddie Clanton*

Eddie Clanton* has been a member of the credit union since 1970, and has served as a Director with 121 Financial for the past nine years. He previously served on the Supervisory Committee for four years and is a graduate of NACUSAC University (National Association of Credit Union Supervisory Audit Committee University). Mr. Clanton has completed many courses in the Volunteer Achievement Program through Credit Union National Association (CUNA).

Related Experience:  Recently retired from AT&T after 38 years of service as a dedicated technician for Southern Bell, BellSouth and now the New AT&T. He has held an array of positions within CWA Local 3106 from Job Steward, Departmental Vice President, to his current position of Second Executive Vice President.  His active involvement with CWA has led him to sit on the Legislative Committee and the Budget Committee. Clanton has been instrumental in preparing and maintaining a $500,000.00 annual budget for CWA for the past five years.  He has enjoyed serving the membership of 121 Financial for the past several years and would like to continue working with the management, staff and the membership in the future.

Educational Background:

Serving on Board:  “While serving on the Board during our national financial crisis has taught me a new respect for our financial institution and the abundance of professionals required to facilitate smooth operations of this organization's daily operations in compliance with state and federal regulations. If re-elected I would consider it a great honor and welcome the responsibility to protect the members’ investments and assets held by 121 Financial Credit Union.”


John Scott, III*

John Scott, III* is an employee of Interline Brands, Inc. ($1.7 billion annual revenue) where he has filled several marketing and e-commerce roles over the past six years.  John recently took on the role of Sales Operations Managers at Interline Brands. In this role he is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional personnel for the purpose of motivating behavioral change in order to achieve initiative specific goals. 

Related Experience:  John has a history of being a change agent is his career. He has implemented and refined several processes which have led to a more efficient, goal-driven focus. He is a strong believer that change is necessary to remain relevant, but the actions to make a change should be well thought out and deliberate.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in both Marketing and Management from Florida State University; MBA from University of North Florida.

Serving on Board: “I have been a credit union member for 13 years and feel my work experience will bring a fresh, advantageous perspective to 121 Financial Credit Union’s Board of Directors.  I have a proven track record of enhancing business processes and practices.  As a longtime member of 121 FCU, I take pride in the growth of this institution and would love to help my credit union reach the next level of success.”


Shelba Williams*

Shelba Williams* is currently self-employed as a Broker Associate for Watson Realty Corporation and have been associated with Watson Realty for over nine years.  Retired from BellSouth after 32 years of service in 2002, she was a Service Representative for most of her career serving the last four years as a Managed Care Specialist, appointed by CWA and worked with over 100 Locals in nine states. She educated the Locals on the different benefit plans, worked with the Management team in the Benefits Organization and different Health Care providers to resolve claim issues.  An officer of CWA Local 3106 for over 25 years, she served as President prior to taking the Managed Care Specialist appointment.  Williams continues to work with CWA Retirees to educate them on various subjects and help with benefit and Medicare issues as President of the CWA 3106 Retired Members Club. 

Related Experience:  She served on the 121 Financial Board from 2001 to 2005, 2010 to current, and previously on the boards of United Way, Red Cross and West Duval Youth Association.  Ms. Williams has volunteered with Hospice, Spina Bifida, and others and has been the President of CWA Local 3106 Retired Member Club since 2004. 

Educational Background: Williams has had various other training throughout her career.  She has a Broker License for Real Estate, General Real Estate (GRI) designation, Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) designation, and At Home with Diversity (AHWD) designation.  Ms. Williams is certified to work with Relocation and has also completed numerous volunteer education courses with 121 Financial.

Serving on Board:  "It would be an honor to continue to serve the Credit Union members and support the employees by ensuring 121 Financial remains a strong and viable financial institution in our community.  Today's economic environment is unlike anything we've experienced in our lifetime and requires creative, but passionate thinking. I recognize that new technology and laws challenge the Board and our Credit Union each day, and I will leverage my work experience to successfully address these opportunities.  I continue to visit the various offices of our credit union whenever I am in different parts of town and enjoy meeting the employees. I appreciate their dedication to serving the members and their perspectives on how the credit union might perform even more effectively.  To this day I gladly accept calls from members seeking information about the credit union and their policies.  Working together, employees, members, and the Board we can make improvements that all of us will be proud of.

Arzada Haynes*

Arzada Haynes* has been a member of 121 Financial Credit Union for over 40 years.  She has served as a member of the Supervisory Committee for almost 13 years.   Haynes works closely along with the other members of the committee and with the Internal Auditor to ensure that the assets of your Credit Union are handled in a safe, efficient and effective manner.

Related Experience:  Mrs. Haynes retired from Bellsouth as a customer service/marketing  manager with almost 33 years’ service and from Abyssinia Baptist Church as Executive Administrator.  In addition, she served as Board Chair of APEL Health Services and as Chairman of Trustees for Abyssinia Baptist Church for many years.

Education:  Mrs. Haynes has completed all required Volunteer Achievement Program courses having graduated from NACUSAC University in 2008. This training has helped her to become an effective representative for the membership of 121 Financial Credit Union.  In addition, she is a graduate of American Business College and attended St. Thomas Christian College.

David Wells

David Wells retired from the corporate world after 28 years with Convergys Corporation as a Project Manager and Call Center Manager.  He previously worked in Trust Banking for two Jacksonville based banks.  He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Friends of the Jacksonville Public Library and Treasurer of The Orange Park Community Theatre.

Related Experience:  Dave is an Instructor and a Location Manager for the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program in Jacksonville.  He is a retired Vietnam veteran after serving in the US Air Force and the Florida Army National Guard.  He was Paymaster for the Jacksonville Jazz Festival for 15 years and was also a Course Developer and Instructor at Florida Junior College (now FSCJ).

Educational Background:  CPA, Masters of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and BS in Finance from State University of New York at Buffalo.

Serving on Board:  "As a long time member (29 years) I believe that my broad background in business and finance will make me a strong candidate to assist 121 Financial to continually improve and grow."
